Jerry, thanks for the great 66 guide (I tell my friends it is "Route 66 for Dummies". Our's is maked, high lighted and ready for out trip west in Sept. Hope to see you for a signature when we get to Chandler.

Hi Jerry,
We were in Chandler last Sunday/Monday (08/08-09/10) and it was closed, except for the Lincoln Motel, which is now run by industrious new owners, and the movie theater which was great. We drove past your gallery and read the sign on the door, but it was late and we were moving on to Arcadia. Anyway, we used your maps for Missouri (met Ramona at the Munger-Moss and Sherman Britt who now owns Winks in Lebanon; Gary Turner's daughter Jeanette and his wife Lena), the Rainbow Bridge and 4 Women on the Route in Kansas (Melba in Galena kept us for an hour and a half), and Oklahoma (There's a great DX Station with vintage Packards in Afton; we had an insider's tour of the Coleman Theater, a stop at Vintage Iron and then at the Blue Whale, the Seaba Station, and at last a listen to the grand storyteller/historian at the Red Barn.) We were thrilled that you included so much information and insight, especially about the 9 foot wide "ribbon road" section outside of Miami. Other riders on the road who we met were from England, Spain, Italy, France, and Canada. We had to turn left after Pops, toward Oklahoma City and points east, and then returned to Maryland safely via Hot Springs Arkansas, the length of Tennessee, and the entirety of Virgina. Phew. The 1992 black Corvette Coupe did very well, and it was a wonderful 10 days on the Mother Road.

Thanks Jerry, for your tireless research in mapping out the entire Route 66 & your extra info on neat sites to look for to further enjoy Americana! We drive from Santa Monica to Chicago in 10 days, so we would never have made it without your EZGuide & those EB directions! They were perfect! Needed some help to find the Chain of Rocks bridge though. It was so worth searching for--to walk over the mighty Miss. river was a blast! We want to go back & try to catch all we missed--need 4 weeks! The EZ Guide is a great publication! We met Angel D. in Seligman, Bill @ Shea's, Dan Rice, Gary Turner, Renee, Melba, & Tow Tater in GAlena, & more! Stayed in the Wigwam Motel in CA, got caught in a field fire near Funk's Grove, ran into the FEDEX filming their new electric car on the Rainbow Bridge in Riverton, KS. Something cool around every corner of Route 66! And we would not have found it without your book! Thanks!

Hi, Jerry: Trust you are enjoying the festivities at the Tri State Festival and you are leaving a footprint of artistry along the way. Your guidebook keeps us "on the road" even from a distance! I send regrets for not being in Oklahoma during the Festival, however, my heart remains connected to "The Mother Road". Lorrie - Founder CR66A

Hi Jerry- I have enjoyed you publications and artwork for quite a while. This is a very nice web site! If you are out on the road in Arizona, I would like to invite you to visit our exhibit ("Route 66 in Arizona: Don't Forget Winona!"). It will be up through the end of July- meanwhile check it out at: http://library.nau.edu/speccoll/exhibits/route66/index.html
Meanwhile- keep up the great work. Your art brings much to the road and those who enjoy it!

Hi Jerry, stopped by to say hi on 5th but you weren't around. I just wanted to say that the EZ66 Guide got me from San Diego to Santa Monica all the way to Funk's Grove where I had to cut west to get home. My Xterra was loaded for bear with possessions that I was taking home before I ship off to Japan for two years. Route 66 was something I planned later on and then decided I would do it now since I'm stashing my X at my parents' place in Illinois. My brother was an afterthought that started as a joke by my aunt but I decided it should be a shared experience. Sadly, we rushed it in 6 days and I found that we set our sights a bit far on a few occasions but we made it safe and fine. But you are right, the charm of Route 66 has made me decide that in 2-3 years when I return to the States and if I'm stationed back West, I will most certainly drive '66 WB and take a couple weeks at least to do it. But, at least I can say I'm familiar with the road and I've picked out a lot of things to see and do next time. Thanks Jerry!
