Nearing retirement. Am buying a Prius. Got the EZ Guide and maps. Will get the lodging & dining guide. Can't wait to tour the road. We'll start in Chicago (we live in Algonquin, IL) and take as long as it takes.

Hi,
We love your art. Are you selling postcards these days or expect to in the near future?

Hi Jerry, My husband and I are doing "66" starting from New Hampshire on April 10. Truly coast to coast,eh? We'll be dropping in on ya. My husband will be 66 while on the route. Thanks for all the great tips here. I feel as if we are already friends who just haven't met yet.
See ya soon, Shirl n' Frenchy

Our family is planning a Route 66 road trip this June in our '65 Vista Cruiser wagon. My husband and I will be taking our 3 kids (13, 10, & 6) and hitting the road for 2 weeks!! Hopefully, this will be a positive experience and I a hopeful that your tips will help. :)

Jerry, it was a pleasure to meet you at your shop in September. The trip was great, and we're already planning on another this year. Thanks for signing your EZ Guide. It is an invaluable asset for anyone planning a Route 66 trip.

Jerry, Nice meeting you in Lebanon, Mo. for the re-lighting of the Munger Moss Motel neon sign on Historic Route 66. I'm looking forward to seeing some of the pictures you took of the sign and my 1953 Buick. The car was barely 2 years old when the sign was first erected on that site. Keep up the good works man! We visited our friend in Tulsa back in July. Our aim was to drive Oklahoma's 66 border to border, albeit not in one outing. We didn't quite achieve our goal, but thanks to your guide (and to Michael Wallis who gifted it to us) we had a jolly good go! The report detailing the first let of our trip can be found here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2574449

Without your guide, there is simply no way we'd have found even a fraction of the places we did. For some, driving Route 66 is a lifelong dream and I can't help wondering how many set off on the pilgrimage armed with just a regular map. It's almost too heartbreaking to contemplate.

Myself and two friends, all from the UK, embarked on a cross USA road trip in September 2009 including a day’s dash from New York to Chicago, the full length of Route 66, and a 2 day detour for Monument Valley.
For Route 66 we extensively used the EZ66 Guide and cannot praise it enough. Without this guide we would have missed so much and it really helped us get the most out of our travels. We attempted to include as many side trips and original pavement as possible.
We captured the whole trip on time lapse videos and if you search YouTube for “complete route 66 time lapse” you’ll find 11 videos, one for each day of our Route 66 travels.
The camera was set to record an image every 2 seconds and the resulting video is shown at 20 frames per second (one minute of video is about 40 minutes on the road).
I hope it helps you with any trip planning you may be doing, or help rediscover memories from your own Route 66 experiences.
And thanks again Jerry for a terrific guide.

Great website and great work! I posted a link at the german's largest website about the Route 66: http://www.route66-roadbook.com/cms/route-66-roadbook/oklahoma-ok.html

P.S.: It was a tip from Ken "the landrunner" Turmel
