NM page 13 - I'm sorry to say that the El Don Motel sign was dark this evening. (And I'm sorrier to admit that I'm staying tonight at the EconoLodge across from the Monterey Motel.)

Hi Jerry
I just wanted to send a HUGE Thank you! to you for your book EZ66.
We just returned from our adventure on route 66 from Oklahoma City to Meteor Crater AZ. As navigator, I had your book in my lap the entire trip, as well as while I was planning our adventure. Thank you so much! The maps, drawings, recommendations, ALERTs were wonderful and added so much fun and interest to our trip. We will never forget it! My best to you!

NM Page 25 -- HWY 50 is closed between Pecos and Glorieta, for a bridge replacement project. The detour is to backtrack to Rowe, then take I-25 to Glorieta. NMRoads.com started the project in early August, and says it will take about 7 weeks to complete.

Met you a few days ago, Pam & Randy with the red Corvette (all Corvettes are red, the rest are mistakes!). Enjoyed our visit, sorry we delayed your Walmart expedition! My blog if you're interested, is pamelamryan.blogspot.com.

We had to take a bit of a hiatus as Randy hurt his knee, we spent almost a week in Santa Fe. Starting off again on Route 66 tomorrow.

Thanks for the book and thanks for the autograph!

Pam & Randy Ryan

I found your EZ66 Guide invaluable, crossing Arizona's Route 66 from Topock to Chambers, last April. (I was going to do the whole route, but California and New Mexico were NOT "welcoming" tourists, so I crossed up through Utah and returned East on a more northerly route.)

Now that the States have opened again, I'm ready to cover the rest of the route in September. I've spent this morning copying your changes into my Guide, and come the weekend after Labor Day, I'll drive up to Chicago and head West, following the Joabs, Tod & Buz in their first-gen Corvette (well sorta), Bobby Troup, and of course your numerous trips up and down The Mother Road. (If the Lord be willing and the creek don't rise!)

Hope I'll get a chance to meet you, and see your gallery!
