Greetings Jerry,
I wanted to thank you for the "guidance" that you provided for my trip to Santa Monica. My daughter and I came by your place early in July, the second day of our trip from Rolla to California. We had a wonderful and memorable trip meeting dozens of terrific folks along the way! I would like to invite you to my facebook page www.facbook.com/kentjewelry where you will find an image of the newest RT 66 mural. We completed it in early July just prior to making our journey. I think you will find the image very interesting and look forward to your impression of it. In any event, my daughter and I are planning a long weekend to complete the Rolla to Chicago let of the Route, probably next spring. Thank you again for your guidance, I look forward to seeing you again someday. You are always welcome to stop by our little section of the road. Sincerely, Kent Bagnall, Route 66, Rolla, Missouri

Hi Jerry. My wife and I just returned home from a fantastic Route 66 voyage of discovery. Being from Victoria BC it made sense for us to do this route "west to east." We left Santa Monica 15 June and headed east, but not before some pics of the Santa Monica pier and of course the requisite "Tee" from the end of trail kiosk. It was our luck that the Orange County regional beach volleyball tournament was going on by the pier. What a zoo. Our trip was absolutely fantastic and a truly unforgettable experience, which is of course a credit to your guide. We never got lost. Our only complaint comes from THE NAVIGATOR(my wife)who feels that the side trip descriptions and side-bars in the guide were "westward" oriented and had to be read from the bottom up when heading eastbound. Nevertheless, a minor point as this was sorted out fairly early on in our journey. Personally, I loved the western sections the best while my wife preferred the east. Of course she does! At times, while driving through the western desert, it felt as if we were the only people on the planet. Ghost towns galore to explore, very interesting small towns to see but at the same time leaving a sad sense of melancholy and nostalgia for simpler times. Even places such as Gallup NM reflected a lost sense of place as many of the establishments on its main drag were boarded up. We reached Chicago around the 16th of July where again, as luck would have it, a huge "Taste of Chicago" festival was going on. What a zoo. We took the I 90 on the way home - Chicago to Seattle - when, as luck would have it, we shared the road with 350,000 bikers on their way to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Interesting but very, very noisy. Oh yes, and "Road Alert!!" The worst stretch of road over the entire route has to be without a doubt that section of Route 66 that went through Tulsa Oklahoma. Unbelievably bad. Worse than any stretch of Route 66 that we experienced across the western desert including the Monument Valley trail!! And that was really bad.

Hi Jerry! We just got back home (Italy) after an unforgettable holiday driving the Route 66 and wanted to thank you for your invaluable EZ guide! I really can't imagine how we would have found our way without it. In fact, as we realised this very early on in our trip (July 16 - Aug 6) we tried just stopping by in Chandler to thank you in person - unfortunately your gallery was closed. Your guide was INCREDIBLE!! I don't think we ever got lost when we were following it, in fact we usually got lost when we used the GPS to get us to our hotels in the various stopovers along the way. We drove as much of the original Route as we could, and were thankful for your advice about the dirt-track sections that are sometimes unadvisable to drive. We all had lumps in our throats as we turned the last page of the guide and arrived in Santa Monica... THANK YOU A THOUSAND TIMES!

We made it to Santa Monica on June 13. What a great road trip! So many interesting things to see and wonderfully nice people we met. Thanks for stoping at the Cadillac Ranch to meet us and sing our EZ66 Guide. As I told you, this was my 66 Dream, Driving Route 66 in my 66 GTO and having my 66 birthday. I am still interested in having a painting of the 66 GTO done at Gay Parita's Sinclair Station. Will be contacting you soon. Curt
