To publicize the release of the SSR sports pickup, Chevy flew 20 artists from around the country up to Detroit, to meet the designers and photograph the number one production car. This painting, plus 3 others from the region, were auctioned along with SSR serial number 7 The full sized drawing I prepared before the watercolor is for sale in my gallery-please inquire

"Standard Station, Sayre, OK"
Oil on canvas 21" x 36" A typical scene at a typical Route 66 gas station in Sayre, OK. One of my specialties is incorporating "toothy" close ups of fifties cars in the foreground of Route 66 scenes. As in this case, I enjoy meticulously "restoring" classic Route 66 settings to their orignal appearance, through old photos and postcards.

Price: SOLD ( for $5,000) to a Japanese collector. (prints on 13x19" paper are STILL available at $40 each plus shipping).
